I am originally from a city in India called Vishakhapatnam. After completing my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biotechnology, I came to Dallas, Texas in 2000 to pursue further studies in the field of Biotechnology.  I came to the West with the preconceived notion that most North Americans were Christians, but it didn't take long to be disappointed. For the first time in my life, I heard people say there's no God. In India, we have 33 million gods and goddesses. Rarely will you find an atheist. I didn't know what to say to someone who believed that there was no God.

With that as a turning point, I applied to a Bible school in California, called The Master's College (President John MacArthur). There, I studied the Bible for a couple of years to learn how to defend my faith and have a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. It was there that I met my wife Sarah who is from Nova Scotia. We were married in Canada and decided to settle here.

After working at Dalhousie University for awhile in the area of Applied Oral Sciences, God began to stir our hearts in the direction of full time ministry. Since I'm a musician, God started using me in that area. I began to play for a band called "The Contact", through which we were able to have a very powerful ministry among the youth. With the band I also had the opportunity to share the Word of God at some youth events and churches and traveled across Canada twice - coast to coast.

Having seen the different churches across Canada, God laid a burden on my heart to pray for this nation. For almost a year, I laid everything aside to simply pray and intercede for Canada. This was a time of severe testing for both Sarah and I. We felt as if we jumped out of our boat and started walking on water. We had to learn absolute dependence on the Lord for His direction and decisions in our lives. During this time, God opened the door for me to preach in different churches and camps. Eventually, and with the help of some friends, I started a Bible study at Dalhousie to teach the Bible through scientific, prophetic and historical perspectives.   It was during this time that "Seaside" was born.
